Fire Rated Silicone Sealant Venture 976
Venture 976 is a one-component, acid-free fire rated silicone sealant designed to resist flame and prevent dripping when exposed to high temperatures. Once cured, it forms a permanently flexible silicone rubber seal. This product does not expand when exposed to fire.
It provides strong adhesion, low odor, non-corrosive properties, and safe application on various surfaces. Venture 976 remains flexible and durable within a temperature range of -20°C to 316°C (600°F). It is resistant to impact, moisture, oil stains, oil corrosion, and vibration while accommodating joint movement to prevent leakage.
Designed for fire protection and bonding applications, it adheres to glass, metal, wood, painted surfaces, silicone rubber, and plastics. Suitable for HVAC/R systems. Adhesion testing is recommended depending on substrate composition.

Applications
Venture 976 is a high-quality, ready-to-use, solvent-free silicone sealant suitable for general sealing and bonding applications. Designed for use with a standard caulking gun, it can be applied on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Venture 976 is ideal for various applications, including assembling valve covers, sealing radiator components, bonding gaskets in heating and cooling systems, sealing flanged pipe joints, and repairing cables and ducts such as air-conditioning ducts, air ducts, and exhaust ducts.
Surface Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, rust, oil, and other contaminants.

Apply the sealant evenly onto the surface.

If necessary, shape the sealant using a spatula moistened with a mild detergent solution.

Remove uncured sealant with a cloth dampened with thinner. Once cured, remove mechanically using a knife or cutting tool.
